About Megan
I am a licensed independent social worker ( LISW-S) through the State of Ohio Counselor and Social Worker Board. I graduated from State University of New York at Albany with my undergraduate degree and New York University with my masters degree in Social Work. I have been practicing in the State of Ohio in a variety of different settings since 2001. I am truly passionate about supporting individuals and their families in healing and coping with life’s challenges. I work with adults with a variety of concerns, including: grief, trauma, relationship challenges, occupational concerns and transitions, parenting issues, anxiety and other mood disorders.
I believe the counseling relationship is the foundation to any treatment success, so I strive to cultivate a meaningful and caring relationship based on mutual respect and collaboration so my clients feel comfortable to process, share and explore themselves. I utilize an integrative approach entrenched in psychodynamic and attachment theory and am trauma informed. I am level 1 and 2 EMDR trained and am always working to educate myself and grow and improve my clinical practice to meet the needs of my clients. I also enjoy presenting and training on various topics including anxiety, grief and loss, compassion fatigue and other topics as requested.
Outside of my office I enjoy traveling, fitnessing and running around my two active boys, loved ones and friends.
